Chia pudding with green party twist
This is breakfast version 2.0! Variety makes food and you get variety with this green Chia party Pudding! We made one before Chia pudding for you. I think chia pudding always looks very festive, but this chia pudding is really a big party!
Chia seeds are packed with fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. They are super healthy and very satiating so good for the line. Soaking them in a liquid will make them jelly-like. This 'jelly' also slows down the conversion of carbohydrates into sugars, so that less insulin needs to be produced. This keeps your blood level and hormones in balance. And the less insulin your body has to produce, the easier it is to lose weight.
Only disadvantage, you have to plan ahead a bit because the chia seeds have to 'soak' in milk for at least 3 hours. So if you don't have 3 hours to wait for your breakfast in the morning, you can best get started the night before.
Preparation time
5 minutes (excluding the dishes)
Ingredients for 2 people
- 225 ml coconut milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1 the sugar free syrup Steviala Holy Hon
- 3 tbsp chia seed
For the smoothie
- 50 grams avocado (possibly frozen)
- 1 green kiwi
- 1 banana (frozen)
- handful of spinach
- 25 gram Live Puri coconut protein powder lightly sweetened
Preparation
- Put all the ingredients for the chia pudding in a pot and stir together.
- Stir occasionally for the first 10 minutes so that no lumps form.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Put all ingredients for the smoothie in the blender or in a bowl and mix with a hand blender. Set aside a few slices of kiwi for garnish. Blend until it is a smooth smoothie.
- Divide the chia pudding and smoothie over 2 bowls and decorate as you like! We used the slices of kiwi, some muesli, blueberries, coconut chips and nut butter as a topping.
Enjoy!
